The cheapest laptop is rarely the cheapest laptop
A consumer machine bought on special costs less on the day and more over three years - in warranty callouts, in lost time, and in the hour someone spends setting it up from scratch because it arrived with a home edition of Windows on it.
We specify business-grade equipment with on-site warranty, order it, image it with your standard build, enrol it in your device management, and hand it to the user ready to sign in. BDL has been supplying and servicing business equipment in New Zealand for decades; this is the same discipline applied to IT hardware.
What we supply
- Laptops and desktops - business ranges with on-site warranty, specified for the work rather than the brochure
- Servers and storage - where on-premises still makes sense, sized with room to grow
- Monitors, docks and peripherals - including the boring standardisation that makes hot-desking work
- Network hardware - firewalls, switches and access points, specified with your network design
- Meeting room and display technology, alongside the digital display range BDL already supplies
- Mobile devices - enrolled, secured and manageable from day one
Deployment, not just delivery
Standard build
We agree one or two device standards for your organisation so every machine behaves the same way and support is predictable.
Configured before it arrives
Imaged, joined, enrolled in Intune, apps installed, encryption on, and named to your convention.
Handed over ready
Delivered to the desk, data moved from the old machine, and the user signed in and working the same morning.
Retired responsibly
Old devices wiped to a documented standard and recycled, or redeployed where they still have life in them.
Buy, or lease
BDL has run equipment leasing for New Zealand businesses for years - it is the core of how BDL Copiers works. The same approach can cover IT hardware: a known monthly cost, a planned refresh cycle, and no large capital request every three years.
If you already lease print equipment from BDL, IT hardware can be added to that arrangement rather than started from scratch.
Need a fleet refresh?
Tell us how many devices and what people do with them. We will come back with two or three options and the real cost over three years.

Common questions
Are you tied to one manufacturer?
No. We specify what suits the job and the budget. Standardising on one or two models across your organisation matters far more for supportability than which badge is on the lid.
Can we lease IT hardware the way we lease copiers?
Yes - talk to us about it. Leasing suits organisations that want a predictable monthly cost and a disciplined refresh cycle instead of running machines until they fail. We will lay out both options with the numbers.
What happens to our old devices?
Wiped to a documented standard, then recycled or redeployed. BDL has long-standing recycling and sustainability programmes on the print side and applies the same thinking here.
How long does hardware take to arrive?
Common business models are usually days rather than weeks. Configured-to-order servers and anything unusual take longer, and we will tell you the realistic date at quote time rather than the optimistic one.
Due for a hardware refresh?
We will spec it, price it, and tell you whether buying or leasing works out better for your situation.
